One of the things to understand about the GLOCK company is that they DO NOT endorse, or in any way support this web site. Glock is now well known for being overly protective of the use of their name on anything that they do not directly control.
We get it, we are protective of our own brand name too. But since there is a 1st Amendment in this country (unlike Austria where Glocks come from) we are perfectly within our rights to go to the store, buy a Glock pistol (or two), take pictures of it any way we like, publish these photos and then tell you about the Glock pistols which we now own. It's the same liberty that a newspaper has when they photograph something with public visibility and then tell you about it in their publication. This is all completely lawful and protected by the constitution (of this country).
Speaking of Glock news, Glock has reached their 25th year of production and has enjoyed about the same amount of time completely dominating the law enforcement community's gun market. The Glock pistol was FAR ahead of it's time when it was first released.
Even though many other companies have tried to copy the Glock design concepts, Glock has never really had any meaningfull competition in the Duty weapon market... till now. Basically, when you make anything which is far ahead of it's time, eventually, everyone else will figure out a way to catch up to you and perhaps even improve upon the design. Even though Glock pistols have evolved through (as of the writing of this) four generations of their pistol designs, there is not really a big difference between the different generations as perceived by a layman shooter.
There have always a number of small things that even the most die hard Glock fan never liked but learned to ignore because of all of the positive benefts which always outweighed the less desirable things. But after 25 years, someone finally came out with a pistol design which has all the great features that people like about a Glock, and provided a solution for all the things that people don't like about Glocks. The Smith & Wesson M&P pistol like are that pistol of which we speak and they are really giving Glock the first real competition they have ever seen. We don't have any M&P pistols to show you at the moment but maybe we can talk Smith & Wesson into giving us one.
